The fifth edition of KIUG 2025 is taking place across seven cities in Rajasthan, featuring an impressive 4448 athletes from 222 Universities competing in 23 medal events. These games are conducted under the supervision of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in partnership with the Rajasthan State Sports Council and hosted by Poornima University.

While Chandigarh University excelled in canoe and kayaking, three new records were established in athletics, bringing the total to 12 over four days.

Shot put athlete Samardeep, who has outperformed two-time Asian Games champion Tajinderpal Singh Toor three times this year, achieved a distance of 19.42m on his second attempt to earn the gold medal, while Aniket from Guru Kashi University managed a distance of 18.08m.
