According to the announced schedule, the Kochi–Bengaluru Vande Bharat will depart from Ernakulam at 2:20 p.m., arriving in Bengaluru City by 11:00 p.m.

For the return journey, it will leave Bengaluru at 5:10 a.m. and reach Ernakulam at 1:50 p.m.

The official launch date is anticipated to be revealed soon, with expectations that services will commence later this month.

The train will make scheduled stops at Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur, with an additional halt at Krishnarajapuram during the return trip.

Spanning 608 kilometers in just nine hours, this service promises a quicker, more comfortable travel choice compared to current options.

Featuring eight coaches, including one executive class coach, this new service is set to benefit daily commuters, professionals, and travelers during the festive season.

With this addition, Kerala's fleet of Vande Bharat trains will expand to three, following the successful operations of the Thiruvananthapuram–Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram–Mangaluru routes.

Rail officials noted that this latest route addresses the increasing demand for faster interstate connections, particularly to major southern metropolises like Bengaluru.

The modern, aerodynamic train is outfitted with cutting-edge safety features, automatic doors, reclining seats, and GPS-based passenger information displays.

This service is projected to enhance tourism and business travel between Kerala and Karnataka, strengthening connectivity across two of South India's most dynamic economic corridors.

Over recent years, there has been a significant influx of Kerala students pursuing education in Bengaluru, leading to numerous complaints regarding the lack of a rapid transport option. The new service promises to address this issue effectively.
