Gurugram, March 18 (NationPress) In a shocking turn of events, a 50-year-old liquor contractor was fatally shot, reportedly due to a rivalry in the liquor business within Gurugram, as per police reports.
Another individual sustained injuries during the shooting. The deceased has been identified as Baljeet Singh (50), while the injured party is Ravinder (27), a resident of Hayatpur in Gurugram.
This entire event was captured by CCTV cameras installed in the victim's office. The footage revealed Baljeet resting in his office while Ravinder attempted to protect himself as the assailants continued their assault.
In the recorded footage, it is evident that two armed assailants on motorcycles, wearing helmets, arrived at the scene and fled after executing the crime.
Reports suggest that the assailants discharged nearly half a dozen rounds.
According to the police, Baljeet and Ravinder were in Baljeet's office near Baba Jotram Chowk in village Hayatpur around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday when two unidentified individuals entered the premises and opened fire at them. The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Baljeet succumbed to his injuries, while Ravinder continues to receive medical care.
A complaint was lodged by the family of the deceased, alleging that Baljeet, a liquor contractor in Jhajjar, was targeted by a rival contractor from the same area due to ongoing business tensions, stated Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police.
The investigation team has successfully identified both suspects. Special teams have been organized to pursue the case, and the culprits will be apprehended shortly.
