Key Takeaways
Jaipur, March 3 (NationPress) A distressing incident of rampant gunfire occurred at a high-end hotel in Churu district, Rajasthan, resulting in the tragic death of the hotel owner and leaving three individuals with severe injuries, as reported by police on Tuesday.
The event unfolded around 12:30 a.m. at 'The Royal Treat' located in the Bidasar area.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Jai Yadav disclosed that three armed individuals stormed the hotel premises and began shooting.
Maniram Manda, the hotel proprietor, was struck by multiple bullets and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The injured—Bhikharam Jat, Shravan Jat, and Prabhuram Prajapat, all from Dadiba—were critically wounded in the attack.
CCTV footage of the violent episode was released on Tuesday morning, documenting the gunfire within the hotel.
In response to the incident, the hotel was promptly sealed off, and a significant police presence was established in the vicinity to uphold public order.
The injured parties were quickly transported to Bagadia Hospital in Sujangarh for urgent care. Given their critical conditions, they were subsequently referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment late that night.
According to police sources, the deceased, Maniram Manda, had ties to the liquor and hotel industries. Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the shooting may be connected to an ongoing rivalry involving another faction in the liquor business. However, officials cautioned that the exact reasons would be clarified only after a thorough investigation.
SP Jai Yadav also mentioned that multiple police teams have been assembled to find and capture the perpetrators.
One suspect has been identified, and searches are currently being conducted at various locations to apprehend those responsible, he stated.
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was summoned to collect vital evidence from the crime scene. Authorities assured that the situation is now under control, and more information will be available once a formal case is filed and investigations continue.
