Three Delhi Residents Gunned Down Near Resort in Panchkula, Haryana

Chandigarh, Dec 23 (NationPress) Three individuals, including a woman, all believed to be residents of Delhi and aged from 20 to 25 years, were shot dead in the Morni hills of Panchkula in Haryana, as reported by the police on Monday.

The victims were attacked by three assailants outside a resort, with officials suggesting that this incident may stem from an old rivalry.

Upon leaving the resort after a birthday celebration, the trio was targeted when the miscreants fired multiple rounds at their SUV early on Sunday.

One of the deceased has been identified as Vicky, who was attending the birthday celebrations along with his nephew and a woman.

The police are probing the possibility of an ongoing rivalry being the motive behind this tragic event. The victims, all reported to be from Delhi, were at the restaurant for a birthday celebration when the gunfire erupted.

According to police reports, three men arrived at the location in an Etios car, opened fire indiscriminately on the victims, and then fled the scene.

The police control room received alerts about the incident around 3.30 a.m.

The victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital of Sector 6 in Panchkula, located near the state capital Chandigarh, where they were pronounced dead.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Authorities are currently gathering information about the assailants, with police examining CCTV footage and collecting other evidence, as stated by officials.

Further updates are awaited.

In a related incident, two explosions were reported outside clubs in Panchkula-adjacent Chandigarh in November. The blasts occurred in Sector 26 near the Seville Bar and Lounge—owned by singer and rapper Badshah—and the De Orra Club. It was later revealed that gangsters Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the explosions. Following an encounter in Haryana's Hisar district, two suspects allegedly involved in the crude bomb incident were arrested. Both suspects, identified as Vinay (20) and Ajit Sehrawat (21), are residents of Hisar and sustained injuries during the arrest.
