To address challenges related to government energy audits, a system of accountability will be established to enhance energy efficiency and minimize energy use. “A key highlight of this MoU is the extensive plantation initiative of 56 lakh trees. To celebrate 56 years of Earth Day, we will plant 56 lakh trees across the state. This effort is part of the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Greening Maharashtra’ initiative, which targets planting 300 crore trees. The focus will not only be on planting but also on ensuring the survival rate, maintenance, and long-term environmental impact of these trees,” the statement affirmed.
