Maharashtra: Significant Bureaucratic Restructuring

Mumbai, Dec 31 (NationPress) On the final day of the year, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday revealed a significant bureaucratic restructuring.

The government has reassigned the Inspector General of Registration and Stamps, HS Sonawane, appointing the current State Agriculture Commissioner Ravindra Binwade to this role.

Meanwhile, the Sports and Youth Commissioner Suraj Mandhare has been moved to take on the position of Agriculture Commissioner.

The Principal Secretary for School Education and Sports, I.A. Kundan, has been transferred, with the Food and Civil Supply Principal Secretary Ranjit Singh Deol stepping into his place.

Sachindra Pratap Singh, Secretary of the Divyang Welfare Department, has been reassigned as the Commissioner of School Education.

Prashant Narnavare, who was the Commissioner of Women and Child Welfare, has now been appointed as the Secretary of the Special Inquiry Officer within the General Administration Department.

The CEO of Rashtriya Gramin Jivannoti Abhiyan, Ruchesh Jayvanshi, will now serve as the Secretary for the Minority Affairs Department.

Geetanjali Baviskar, who led the Nashik district caste verification committee, has been moved to become the CEO of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Gramodyog Board.

The current CEO of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Gramodyog Board, Pradip P, has been reassigned as Fisheries Commissioner.

Aahok Karanjkar has been named the new managing director of the Maharashtra State Finance Corporation.

The five Principal Secretaries -- Sonia Sethi, Dinesh Waghmare, Santosh Kumar, Aseem Gupta, and B. Venugopal Reddy -- have all been elevated to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary.

Piyush Singh has been promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary, while Milind Borikar, Ravindra Binwade, Deepak Singla, Kunal Prakash Khemnar, and Nidhi Choudhary have been advanced within the selection grade of IAS level-13 in the pay matrix.

R. Vimala, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, has been promoted to level 14 in the pay matrix while retaining her current role.

Sheetal Teli Ugale, the commissioner of the Solapur municipal corporation, has also been elevated to level 14 in the pay matrix.

Yogesh Mhase, the Pune Metropolitan Commissioner, has similarly attained level 14 in the pay matrix in his existing position.

The Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, Rajesh Narvekar, has also been promoted to level 14 in the pay matrix, maintaining his role.

Additionally, the Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation has been promoted to level 14 in the pay matrix.

The CEO of the Maharashtra Maritime Board, Manik Gursal, has achieved a promotion to level 14 in the pay matrix while remaining in his current role.
