Mumbai, Aug 4 (NationPress) Veteran leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Chhagan Bhujbal, asserted on Monday that the MahaYuti coalition is set to triumph in the BMC elections, regardless of the alliance formed between Uddhav and Raj Thackeray.
“The unification of the Thackerays will certainly influence the elections in Mumbai, leading to an increase in their seat count. Nevertheless, the MahaYuti will remain unaffected. No matter the Thackeray brothers’ collaboration, the MahaYuti will secure the most seats,” he stated.
“I have known both Raj and Uddhav since their childhood. Their alliance signifies the return of the old Shiv Sena,” Bhujbal commented.
Chhagan Bhujbal, who kicked off his political journey with Shiv Sena, was a close associate of the late Sena founder, Bal Thackeray.
He later shifted to Congress and subsequently joined the NCP after Sharad Pawar divided the party.
