Jaipur, Feb 3 (NationPress) In a significant achievement during 'Operation Chakravyuh', law enforcement in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan has dismantled an illicit MD (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) production facility disguised as a grocery store and grain warehouse at a central location in the city, according to police officials.

During the operation, authorities confiscated drugs and raw materials valued at approximately Rs 5 crore, officials reported on Monday.

Under the instruction of District Superintendent of Police B. Aditya, Station House Officer Shambhu Singh acted on specific intelligence regarding dubious activities occurring behind Nakoda Kirana, situated on Waterworks Road.

After receiving the tip-off, a police unit executed a raid and uncovered a hidden room within the warehouse.

Upon entry, officers faced intense eye irritation from potent chemical vapors.

A comprehensive search unveiled a fully operational drug manufacturing facility, along with a substantial amount of MD drugs and their raw materials.

During the raid, police recovered 106 grams of pure MD and 114.750 kg of liquid chemicals essential for its production.

The estimated street value of the confiscated items is around Rs 5 crore.

Moreover, various manufacturing equipment was seized, including electronic and induction heaters, blower machines, glass laboratory flasks, large jars, electronic weighing scales, specialized mixing machines, rubber gloves, and safety buckets.

Initial investigations indicated that the suspects — Dharmchand Mogra Jain and Rohit Mogra Jain — were illicitly operating under the facade of a grocery store.

Both individuals managed to escape prior to the police's arrival.

Multiple teams have been assembled to conduct further raids in suspected areas to locate and apprehend them.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and the investigation has been assigned to Shivlal, the in-charge of Arnod Police Station.

Shambhu Singh, the in-charge of Pratapgarh Police Station, along with Constables Pankaj Bishnoi and Sanjay from the Circle Officer's office, played a pivotal role in the successful execution of this operation.
