What happened in Rajasthan with the illegal MDMA factory bust?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jaipur, Dec 29 (NationPress) In a significant operation against drug trafficking, law enforcement in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh has dismantled an illicit MDMA production facility located deep within the forests and hills of Baglia as part of 'Operation Chakravyuh'.
The operation was executed under the guidance of Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Aditya.
On the evening of December 29, Hathunia Police Station Station House Officer (SHO) Udayveer Singh was conducting a routine patrol with his team when they spotted a fire atop a hill along the isolated Baglia–Takrawad road.
The unusual sight amidst the cold raised their suspicions.
Taking prompt action, the police team stealthily ascended the hill on foot, uncovering a shocking revelation—an entire MDMA production operation concealed within a plastic hut surrounded by thick vegetation.
During the raid, Karim Ajmeri, a 21-year-old from Baglia, attempted to escape but was captured by the vigilant police.
A search led to the seizure of 28.54 grams of illegal MDMA found on him.
Upon interrogation, Karim revealed that he was guarding the factory under the direction of Haroon Ajmeri.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle along with various materials and equipment used in the synthetic drug production.
Haroon Ajmeri has been identified as the mastermind behind this operation.
He is a known drug trafficker with four serious charges filed against him under the NDPS Act across police stations in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Previously, assets acquired through his illegal activities had been frozen under Section 68(F) by Hathunia Police; nevertheless, he continued his operations unabated from remote forest locales.
The police have initiated extensive raids at several locations to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspect.
This operation was carried out by SHO Udayveer Singh along with Assistant Sub-Inspector Bholuram, Head Constables Rajveer, Manoharsingh, and Suresh Kumar, and Constables Anop, Mukesh, Arun, Suresh, Girish Chand, Bhagwatilal, and driver Ganpat.
Further investigations are ongoing.
