Jaipur, July 23 (NationPress) In a significant operation against illegal drugs, Barmer Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Jodhpur successfully dismantled an illicit MDMA drug manufacturing facility located in Dholakia village, within the jurisdiction of the Sedwa police station.

This operation, part of the specialized initiative named Operation Bhaukaal, resulted in the confiscation of narcotics and raw materials estimated to be capable of generating drugs valued at Rs 100 crore.

According to Barmer SP Narendra Singh Meena, the joint operation led to the recovery of 39.25 kg of MD/NDPS mixed liquid, 290.84 kg of various chemical liquids—including chloroform, ammonia chloride, acid, toluene, bromine, HCL, and carbon—5.33 kg of white powder, an electric fork, a generator, and two recipe sheets for drug manufacturing.

The total estimated value of the seized items is Rs 40 lakh, from which MD drugs worth Rs 100 crore could have potentially been produced.

SP Meena stated that following a tip-off regarding an illegal drug production unit in Dholakia (Kartiya), teams led by Circle Officer Chohtan Jeevanlal and SHO Sedwa Deep Singh conducted a raid on the premises. The unlawful laboratory was discovered within a shed on the property owned by Mangilal Bishnoi.

Upon arrival, three suspects attempted to escape, but two were apprehended immediately, including Mangilal Bishnoi (21), a resident of Dholakia Kartiya, and Birju Jayendra Shukla (45), hailing from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The third suspect, Ganpat Singh Rawana Rajput, managed to evade capture.

During questioning, it was revealed that the factory was established by Ramesh alias Anil Bishnoi, Kamlesh alias Kartik Bishnoi, Kamlesh Godara, and Ganpat Singh Rawana Rajput.

Mangilal was allegedly promised Rs 10 lakh for providing the location, with Rs 5 lakh already disbursed in cash. Equipment was sourced from Narmada Glass Company, while the necessary chemicals and acids were acquired from Rohan Company, Mumbai. A total of 10 individuals have been identified as suspects, many of whom have previous criminal records.

Police officials disclosed that the primary suspect has a history of 17 criminal cases, including theft, robbery, assault, attempted murder, kidnapping, and drug trafficking.

Additionally, the main suspect is listed among the top-10 criminals at both the range and district levels, with a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to his capture.

Other individuals involved in this operation include Shiva Bhai (Odisha), a specialist in MD drug formulation, Narmata Madam (Thane, Maharashtra), who provided laboratory equipment, and Machhindra Bhosale (Mahad Akola, Maharashtra), who ordered chemicals for drug production.

This operation has unveiled a highly sophisticated drug manufacturing and distribution network with connections across state lines. The confiscated materials, equipment, and apprehended suspects indicate a meticulously organized criminal operation engaged in large-scale narcotics production and distribution.

Ongoing investigations aim to apprehend the absconding suspect and uncover the full extent of this network, according to officials.
