Hubballi, Jan 22 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident, a man was stripped and beaten by a mob for supposedly communicating with a married woman via phone in Hubballi city, Karnataka, on Wednesday.
The event took place in Tipu Nagar, within the area of the Kasabapet police station.
Authorities have taken three individuals into custody concerning this incident.
Identified as Muzaffar, the victim resides in Tipu Nagar.
According to police reports, the victim had a phone conversation with a married woman on Tuesday. When her relatives learned of this, they, along with a group of 15 people, seized Muzaffar on Wednesday, protesting against his call to the married woman.
The mob stripped and viciously attacked Muzaffar, using blades to inflict wounds on his body. After the brutal assault, they left him in Tipu Nagar, forcing him to walk home naked.
Currently, the victim is receiving treatment at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Hubballi. Muzaffar’s family and relatives have voiced their outrage regarding the incident and have lodged a police complaint against 15 individuals.
The family declared that this incident has significantly tarnished their reputation and dignity, rendering it challenging for them to face others in their community. The police are conducting further investigations.
