Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 July reached out to the people of Rajasthan through a series of posts on social media platform X, previewing a sweeping slate of inaugurations and foundation stone layings scheduled for 4 July across the state. The projects, spanning energy, aviation, rail, road, and urban transit, carry a combined outlay of over ₹1.06 lakh crore.

Petrochemical Complex at Pachpadra

The centrepiece of the visit is the dedication of an integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Balotra. Modi described the occasion as 'historic', saying the project would strengthen India's energy and petrochemicals sector and generate employment for a significant number of people. The Balotra leg alone accounts for the bulk of the ₹1.06 lakh crore figure, according to his posts.

Jaipur Metro Phase 2 and Rail Projects

In Jaipur, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the second phase of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, which will develop a corridor linking residential and industrial zones across the Pink City. Separately, the Churu-Sadulpur and Churu-Ratangarh rail-doubling projects will be dedicated to the nation, along with the four-laning of NH-125A and Jodhpur Ring Road Section-2 (Karwar-Dangiyawas) — moves aimed at easing freight and passenger movement in the state's interior.

Jodhpur Airport and Modified UDAN Scheme

The New Terminal Building of Jodhpur Airport is set for inauguration on 4 July. Modi noted that Jodhpur holds strategic importance for India's tourism circuit and that the upgraded terminal would draw more visitors and stimulate local commerce. Alongside the airport launch, the government will roll out the Modified UDAN Scheme from Jodhpur. The revised scheme focuses on developing 100 aerodromes from existing unserved airstrips and directing greater resources toward Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support, with the stated goal of expanding air connectivity to underserved regions.

Semiconductors and Self-Reliance Push

Modi's social media outreach also touched on semiconductor and urban development projects included in the 4 July programme, framing the collective announcements as integral to India's self-reliance agenda. 'These works will add significant momentum to our efforts of becoming self-reliant and in boosting economic growth,' he said in one of his posts.

The Rajasthan visit is one of the larger single-day project rollouts of recent months, covering multiple districts and sectors simultaneously. State officials and industry stakeholders will be watching the Pachpadra refinery most closely, given its scale and its potential downstream impact on the petrochemicals supply chain. The Modified UDAN relaunch will also draw scrutiny from aviation sector observers who have tracked the scheme's mixed execution record since its original launch.
