Bhopal, Aug 5 (NationPress) The School Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Uday Pratap Singh, announced on Tuesday that private educational institutions not adhering to the state government's regulations may encounter severe consequences, including the potential revocation of their recognition or registration.
This declaration came in response to inquiries from the Opposition Congress during the current Monsoon session of the Assembly.
The Congress party has requested the state government to address the issue of private schools in Madhya Pradesh that are hiking annual fees abruptly without adhering to the mandatory guidelines set forth.
"Schools that do not meet the established criteria will not be permitted to operate. Institutions that fail to comply with the government’s standards will face blacklisting," stated the Minister.
He confirmed that numerous schools not meeting the required standards have been identified, and notices have been dispatched to these institutions with explicit instructions to comply with the obligatory rules.
Approximately 5,000 private schools have not even submitted applications for recognition or re-registration, raising concerns regarding regulatory adherence within the school education sector in Madhya Pradesh, he mentioned.
Many such institutions have been noted, but they have been given clear directives to follow the norms. Any immediate action could significantly impact the future of the children, the Minister cautioned.
On Tuesday, the Assembly also engaged in a robust discussion on various topics, particularly the state government's initiative for establishing metropolitan cities, urbanization, and the promotion of industrial and economic growth in the region.
Urban Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya presented the state government's strategy for a blend of IT and industrial development under the Metropolitan City Act, revealing that a comprehensive plan has been crafted to address challenges over the next 25 years.
