Imphal, Aug 5 (NationPress) The Manipur Technical University (MTU) is set to roll out new academic programs focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy, Robotics, and Data Science, as announced by state Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Tuesday.
During the celebration of MTU's 10th foundation day at Takyelpat, Imphal, Governor Bhalla commended the unwavering commitment of MTU’s faculty, the remarkable achievements of its students in national competitions, and the university’s ambitious plans to expand its curriculum.
While addressing faculty, students, alumni, and dignitaries, Bhalla stressed the significance of equipping the youth to not only adapt but also to take the lead in a swiftly evolving world. He encouraged students to foster curiosity, creativity, and compassion throughout their academic pursuits.
As the Chancellor of MTU, the Governor urged students to look beyond mere degree attainment and to engage in profound thinking, responsive actions, and courageous leadership.
He acknowledged the significant progress of MTU since its inception in 2016, marking it as the first and sole state-operated technical university in Manipur.
Bhalla praised the university’s accelerated academic development, its alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and its advancements toward becoming a center for innovation, research, and industry collaboration in the region.
