New Delhi, Sep 24 (NationPress) The National Commission for Women (NCW) is set to conduct a women’s public hearing in Jammu on September 26 as a part of its initiative 'NCW Aapke Dwar'. This program is focused on addressing women’s challenges and ensuring quick resolution of grievances.
The event will take place at Panchayat Bhawan, Railway Complex, Jammu in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, commencing at 12 noon. It will be led by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar.
Senior officials, including the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, and other administrative personnel, are anticipated to engage actively to offer immediate solutions to the issues raised during the hearing.
As stated by the NCW, the hearing aims to resolve long-standing cases and provide on-the-spot assistance to women facing challenges.
“The Commission is dedicated to empowering women and protecting their rights. Through this public hearing, we strive to deliver immediate relief wherever feasible,” the statement emphasized.
During her visit to Jammu, Chairperson Rahatkar will also assess women’s welfare concerns with senior administrative and police officials.
Additionally, the Commission will introduce training sessions under its YASHODA AI program, aimed at equipping women across the nation with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, thereby enhancing their digital empowerment.
Moreover, the NCW will initiate a campus outreach program in Jammu to promote awareness among the youth regarding gender equality and women’s rights.
The Commission has called on women from Jammu and neighboring districts to participate in the hearing and voice their grievances.
