Dhruvh Goswami (MSport) clinched victory in both races on Sunday, earning the title of champion in the LGB Formula 4 category, the premier event of the championship, after entering the final Round 3 weekend trailing behind championship leader Diljith TS (Dark Don Racing).

The 18-year-old Goswami from Bengaluru, a class 12 student at St Joseph’s, concluded his participation in India’s longest-running single-seater championship by winning three out of four races during the weekend. The highlight was the 20-lap final race on Sunday, where he began in 7th position on the reverse grid, three spots behind former champion Diljith, who was just 4 championship points ahead. Goswami showcased remarkable skill, seizing the lead early in the race, momentarily losing it to teammate Ruhaan Alva, before regaining it for a commanding finish. Reflecting on the final race amid the championship battle with Diljith, Goswami remarked, “It was going to be a long race, I knew I required to be patient.”

Sambudla completed a pole-to-chequered flag finish in a race that saw Indian driver Ishaan Madesh of Kolkata Royal Tigers narrowly overtake Saishiva Sankaran (Speed Demons Delhi) in the final laps to secure third place behind teammate Ghazi Motlekar from Mozambique. In the second race, Chandaria maintained his lead from pole position, while Motlekar advanced from fourth to finish second. French driver Sachel Rotge (Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru), who won on Saturday, secured third place after starting from the same grid position, while Madesh held off Sankaran to finish fourth in a closely contested battle.

Having already clinched the title in the professional category with a race to spare on Saturday in the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, presented by JK Tyre, Bengaluru rider Anish Shetty remained focused, concluding the season with another victory, marking his second title in this category.
