Dhruvh Goswami (MSport) clinched victory in both races on Sunday, earning the title of champion in the LGB Formula 4 category, the premier event of the championship, after entering the final Round 3 weekend trailing behind championship leader Diljith TS (Dark Don Racing).
The 18-year-old Goswami from Bengaluru, a class 12 student at St Joseph’s, concluded his participation in India’s longest-running single-seater championship by winning three out of four races during the weekend. The highlight was the 20-lap final race on Sunday, where he began in 7th position on the reverse grid, three spots behind former champion Diljith, who was just 4 championship points ahead. Goswami showcased remarkable skill, seizing the lead early in the race, momentarily losing it to teammate Ruhaan Alva, before regaining it for a commanding finish. Reflecting on the final race amid the championship battle with Diljith, Goswami remarked, “It was going to be a long race, I knew I required to be patient.”
