Lt Gen Parnaik (Retd) affirmed that each NIT graduate has the potential to contribute significantly to the vision of a Viksit Bharat, not only through career achievements but also through meaningful actions.
Praising the institution, the Governor noted that NIT Arunachal Pradesh has established itself as a reliable and esteemed educational institution that not only provides quality education but also serves as a beacon of guidance, innovation, and solutions for the region. He acknowledged the commendable placement rate of 95% with over 100 companies interested in NIT graduates, along with a 5G lab dedicated to communication research.
The Governor expressed confidence that NIT Arunachal Pradesh will persist in its active contribution to national missions by addressing local and regional challenges, fostering sustainable development, and nurturing skilled, ethical, and socially responsible professionals.
He remarked that the NIT is pivotal in the process of nation-building by delivering superior technical education, promoting research, and driving innovation that aligns with societal demands. He emphasized the need to shift focus toward strengthening manufacturing and developing a robust MSME sector with advanced capabilities as the nation’s priorities evolve.
During the ceremony, the Governor awarded the Institute’s Gold Medal to the top-performing students from various departments, while the Chairman of the Board of Governors at NIT, Arunachal Pradesh presented the Chairman’s Gold Medals.
Prof. T.G. Sitharam, the Guest of Honour and former Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education, along with Ramesh Kumar Sarogi, Chairman of the Board of Governors at NIT, Arunachal Pradesh, also addressed the gathering.
