Nitish Kumar Unveils 43 New Buses and Mobile App to Enhance Bihar's Road Connectivity

Patna, December 20 (NationPress) Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched three major initiatives on Thursday to bolster transportation infrastructure, enhance rural connectivity, and promote sports facilities throughout the state.

He inaugurated 43 deluxe buses aimed at delivering affordable, accessible, and comfortable travel experiences for residents across various regions of Bihar. These buses will serve multiple inter-regional routes, thereby improving the public transportation framework of the state, as stated by an official.

Nitish Kumar personally assessed the amenities offered on these buses, placing a strong emphasis on quality and passenger comfort. The introduction of deluxe buses is designed to improve public transit services, alleviate travel challenges, and foster better interconnectivity within the state. This initiative is anticipated to benefit commuters and stimulate economic activity by facilitating the movement of goods and individuals.

Additionally, he launched the 'Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak' mobile application, developed by the Rural Works Department (RWD).

"This application utilizes advanced technology to enhance the traffic system in rural areas, expedite infrastructure development with community involvement, and empower citizens to report road problems (such as potholes and damaged edges) along with uploading photos for resolution," stated Nitish Kumar.

The Chief Minister underscored the importance of monitoring and swiftly addressing public grievances to ensure effective road maintenance. He mentioned that complaints will be monitored and resolved within a defined timeframe.

The app is readily available on the Google Play Store, making it convenient for citizens to partake in the enhancement of road conditions.

The RWD has improved transparency and accountability in managing 65,000 km of rural roads. It has outlined a plan to invest Rs 25,000 crore in road repairs by 2025, underscoring the government's dedication to infrastructure growth.

He also allocated Rs 638 crore for the development of 6,659 playgrounds under the Rural Development Department statewide.

This initiative encourages youth development, sports, and recreational activities across the rural areas of Bihar.

An event to mark this occasion was held at the residence of CM Nitish Kumar in Patna, attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with various departmental ministers, reflecting a cooperative governance approach.
