Los Angeles, Jan 3 (NationPress) Fans of The Beatles are facing disappointment as producer Giles Martin has confirmed that no more hidden tracks from the legendary band will be released.
Over the years, Martin has meticulously explored the archives of the Fab Four for the revived Beatles’ Anthology series on Disney Plus and for various remixed albums. However, he expresses doubt that there are any unreleased treasures left to discover, as reported by Female First UK.
He stated, as quoted by The Sun, "I don’t think there’s anything. I always say that and then something turns up. But I don’t think there’s anything. The ongoing interest in Beatles material is incredible. You can hear new elements in this Anthology box set. For example, the first version of Helter Skelter is fantastic because it’s so raw and direct."
“And then fans ask, ‘Why haven’t we released the 20-minute version of Helter Skelter?’ I believe we have exhausted our options,” he further elaborated.
According to Female First UK, Giles’ father, Sir George Martin, who passed away in 2016, was often referred to as “the fifth Beatle” due to his significant contributions to the band, and Giles has cherished revisiting his father’s legacy.
He expressed, “The Beatles have such a substantial impact that people are eager to learn more about them. It’s heartwarming. I had a close bond with my dad. Their music uplifts people, and working on this material while feeling connected to my dad is truly special.”
Giles has curated the upcoming Anthology 4 album and has remastered the complete collection set to be re-released in 2025.
Additionally, he is collaborating with director Sam Mendes on four forthcoming films centered around different members of the band: John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Sir Ringo Starr.
