Los Angeles, Sep 20 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson is fully committed to a ‘Barb Wire’ reboot. She is collaborating with her sons for this exciting project.

The 58-year-old actress, famous for her role in the 1996 cult classic film, is teaming up with her children, Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, for a TV adaptation of the movie, according to ‘Female First UK’.

As reported by ‘Deadline’, this initiative marks the inaugural effort from Anderson and her children’s production company, And-Her-Sons Productions. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg will serve as executive producers for the TV series under Dark Horse, alongside Pamela and Brandon for And-Her-Sons.

The original 1996 film was inspired by the Dark Horse Comics character of the same name. Both Brandon and Dylan, whose father is Motley Crue star Tommy Lee, have appeared in reality shows such as ‘Pamela's Garden of Eden’ and ‘Pamela's Cooking with Love’. Additionally, Brandon produced the 2023 Netflix documentary ‘Pamela: A Love Story’ and the upcoming ‘The Last Showgirl’ set for release in 2024.

Interestingly, Pamela once revealed that she was unable to watch the film, in which she portrayed the bounty hunter Barbara ‘Barb Wire’ Kopetski, for 27 years.

According to ‘Female First UK’, this role came during Pamela's peak as a blonde bombshell, which began with her portrayal of lifeguard C.J. Parker in the hit TV series ‘Baywatch’.

Although Anderson embodied a comic book character, she expressed feeling like a living “Halloween costume” at that time and it took nearly three decades for her to finally view the movie, directed by David Hogan, which was considered a box office flop. In an interview with TimesRadio, she stated, “I look back and I think, you know, even those characters, C.J., Barb Wire, even Vallery Irons on VIP, they're Halloween costumes. I mean, because they're not just about the costumes, it's what's in the costume”.

“There's a lot of heart in all of those roles. And it may not have been, you know, thespian in any way. But also, I was 27 years old when I did 'Barb Wire', and I didn't see it until 27 years later, and I watched it in French with English subtitles. I could stomach it that way”, she added.
