Patna, Feb 12 (NationPress) The legal challenges facing independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, commonly known as Pappu Yadav, persist as his bail application remains unaddressed. According to sources from the court, he is set to appear again before the Patna Civil Court on Friday.

During a court appearance on Thursday afternoon, proceedings were unable to commence. This disruption is significant given that the Patna Civil Court received a bomb threat earlier that morning.

Yadav's legal representation claims that there is a deliberate effort to keep him imprisoned by consistently postponing hearings.

Reports indicate that the MP is seeking bail in two different cases. While he has secured bail in a 31-year-old case from the Gardanibagh police station, the pending matters are associated with two cases filed at the Kotwali Police Station.

Until a ruling is made on these cases, Pappu Yadav remains in judicial custody. His legal team plans to submit fresh bail applications on Friday, which could be pivotal for his immediate legal standing.

On Wednesday, court proceedings were interrupted following the discovery of a half-burnt body of a lawyer at his residence in Patna, which reportedly hindered normal court operations.

Additionally, multiple bomb threat emails sent to the Patna Civil Court have also contributed to recent adjournments.

Pappu Yadav's attorney, Shiv Nandan Bharti, has raised serious concerns, alleging a calculated attempt to impede the legal process. He suggested that the repeated bomb threats and disruptions are strategically aimed at obstructing judicial proceedings.

Bharti emphasized, "This is the work of troublemakers. Similar threats have been issued in the past, coinciding with Pappu Yadav’s legal situation. If the Bihar Police's Cyber Crime Cell and Economic Offences Unit cannot track down the sources of these emails, what purpose do they serve?"

The attorney also highlighted concerns regarding the MP's declining health, noting that ongoing delays are having a detrimental impact on him.

According to Bharti, if hearings were held consistently and without disruption, Pappu Yadav could potentially gain legal relief.

Meanwhile, social media support for the MP is growing, with many questioning the timing of these threats. A popular post states, "Is it coincidence or conspiracy? Since MP Pappu Yadav's detention at Beur Jail and his hearing schedule, the Patna Civil Court has received three bomb threats in four days."

All attention now turns to Friday's court proceedings, which may determine the future direction of this case.
