PM Modi Criticizes Gandhi Family, Labels 'Garibi Hatao' as the Largest Slogan of Four Decades

New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, responding to the Constitution debate in Lok Sabha on Saturday, delivered a scathing critique of the Congress party as well as the Gandhi family, asserting that ‘Garibi Hatao’ is the largest slogan ever.
While addressing the assembly, PM Modi remarked: "The Congress has an affinity for a specific phrase, which it frequently endorses. Today, I want to mention this term: Garibi Hatao, the longest-running slogan from Congress administrations."
He pointed out that Congress members and the family have employed the ‘Garibi Hatao’ slogan for a staggering 40 years without making any substantial efforts to actualize it. This slogan has solely benefited the party, making it the longest-running slogan of the Congress family.
It's worth noting that ‘Garibi Hatao’ was a key component of Indira Gandhi’s electoral campaign, which brought about significant success for her. Conversely, Congress has labeled ‘jumla’ to challenge PM Modi's government promises, accusing it of misleading the populace with false commitments.
PM Modi, turning the tables on Congress regarding its 'jumla' accusation during the Constitution debate, compared his government’s developmental efforts with the 'hollow model' of the Congress-led administrations.
"After 75 years of Independence, citizens have remained devoid of toilets, sanitation, and clean drinking water. Until 2014, women could only relieve themselves at night. For seventy years, they existed in desperation," PM Modi stated.
"For seventy years, people lacked access to drinking water, LPG cylinders, or bank accounts. Today, the underprivileged and marginalized have been integrated into the mainstream. Those who faced barriers at banks now hold over 50 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts," he highlighted.
“Those who are ignored by everyone else are revered by Modi,” the Prime Minister declared, prompting applause from the Treasury benches.
Further emphasizing initiatives for Divyangs, street vendors, and Vishwakarmas, PM Modi stated: "Divyang (specially-abled) individuals have been overlooked and neglected for seventy years after Independence. Previously, the braille system varied from state to state. We established a common language for their advancement. Today, they experience significant relief.
"The PM SVANidhi Yojana has greatly aided street vendors. Now, they are not reliant on moneylenders but are living with dignity,” PM Modi asserted.
