Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) During his second rally of the day in Begusarai on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fierce critique of the RJD-Congress-led Mahagathbandhan, derisively labeling it a “Mahalathbandhan”—a grand coalition marked by confusion and self-serving interests.
In front of a large audience in Begusarai, PM Modi contrasted the cohesive vision of the NDA with what he described as the chaos and hypocrisy of the opposing parties.
“With the announcement of Bihar elections, it is evident that on one side stands the NDA, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha, and Chirag Paswan, bolstered by our BJP team—Dilip Jaiswal, Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Sinha. On the opposing end is the ‘Mahalathbandhan’, resorting to violence and threats,” stated the Prime Minister.
Labeling the opposition as a collection of opportunistic factions, he remarked,
“This Mahalathbandhan comprises Atak Dal, Latak Dal, Jhatak Dal, Ghatak Dal, and Patak Dal—each faction impeding progress, clinging to power, severing ties, and breaking commitments. Behind the scenes, they betray each other while feigning unity on stage.”
PM Modi accused the RJD of displaying arrogance despite two decades of electoral defeats.
“The RJD has not secured a single electoral victory in the past 20 years, yet they remain engulfed in arrogance. This very arrogance led them to dismiss the JMM. The Congress has trailed behind the RJD for 35 years, and now they’ve been sidelined once more. The RJD also deceived the VIP party and neglected the Left parties,” he added.
Reflecting on Bihar’s industrial heritage, the Prime Minister expressed regret over how the ‘jungle raj’ period during RJD governance stunted the state’s growth.
“Our Shri Babu (Shri Krishna Singh) endeavored to transform Begusarai into an industrial center. There was a time when this area spearheaded India’s industrial development. However, the jungle raj era—a grim chapter rife with fear, intimidation, and corruption—sealed our factories and repelled investors. Those locks weren’t merely on factory doors; they were on your future,” he articulated.
The Prime Minister asserted that the NDA administration has reinstated law and order and revitalized industrial growth in Bihar.
“For the NDA, development takes precedence. When industries thrive, employment follows. We liberated Bihar from jungle raj and reinstated the rule of law. Since the establishment of the double-engine government in 2014, Begusarai is re-emerging as a significant industrial center in the nation,” PM Modi mentioned.
He also criticized the opposition for their lack of empathy towards the impoverished.
“The RJD and Congress are part of the problem. They offer no solutions. These are individuals who ridicule the poor even in times of flooding. Understand the significance of your one vote—it can determine Bihar’s prosperity and reinforce the commitment to build a developed India,” he urged.
In conclusion, PM Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Begusarai for their overwhelming support.
“You have consistently placed your trust in Modi and extended your blessings to Nitish Kumar. This affection and unwavering confidence in the NDA are guiding Bihar into a new era of development,” he concluded, amidst enthusiastic chants of “Modi-Modi!” and “Phir ek baar, NDA sarkar!”
