New Delhi, Jan 26 (NationPress) After the 77th Republic Day parade on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered insights into the festivities at Kartavya Path, emphasizing that the stunning display reflected the resilience of India's democracy and the fervor of national pride.

India marked its 77th Republic Day with an impressive exhibition of its advanced combat capabilities and homegrown weaponry, showcasing a 'Battle Array' format of the Indian Army that provided a vivid representation of battlefield configurations and the operational strategies employed during conflict.

A variety of cultural performances and tableaux were also featured at Kartavya Path during these momentous celebrations.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed: "India celebrated Republic Day with immense enthusiasm and pride. The grand parade at Kartavya Path highlighted the strength of our democracy, the depth of our heritage, and the unity that connects our nation."

In another post, he remarked that Kartavya Path witnessed a strong display of national pride during the Republic Day festivities.

"The Republic Day parade illustrated India's robust security framework, emphasizing the nation's readiness, technological advancement, and steadfast dedication to protecting its citizens," he stated.

He added that the parade provided a look into the enhanced capabilities of India's security forces. "Our forces are indeed our pride!" he noted.

PM Modi also shared images from the vibrant showcase of India's cultural diversity that transpired at Kartavya Path, characterized by lively performances and tableaux.

The Republic Day celebrations commenced with PM Modi paying tribute to fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial. He laid a wreath at the memorial, leading the nation in honoring the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country.

During this tribute, the Inter-Services Guards, comprising one officer and 21 guards (seven from each service), adhered to the traditions of 'Salami Shastra' and 'Shok Shastra' as a mark of respect.

After observing the Republic Day parade, PM Modi once again departed from protocol and continued his tradition of walking along Kartavya Path.

He walked a considerable distance, greeting the enthusiastic crowd in the enclosures. The audience erupted in cheers and applause as he passed by.

Onlookers welcomed the Prime Minister with bright eyes, waving tricolors, and chanting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.

Children climbed onto chairs to catch a glimpse of PM Modi, all smiles.

He later got into his car, waving to the enthralled crowd who shouted 'Modi-Modi' as he proceeded along Kartavya Path.

Donning a red tie-and-dye traditional turban adorned with golden peacock feathers, PM Modi upheld his tradition of making the headgear a signature element of his Republic Day celebrations.

PM Modi also crossed to the opposite side of Kartavya Path, where the excited crowd welcomed him and captured the moments with photographs.

This is not the first instance of the Prime Minister breaking protocol; he has been doing so since 2015.
