New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday with a pointed rebuttal to the opposition's persistent jabs, asserting that their ongoing attempts to "Modi Teri Kabra Khudei" (dig a grave for Modi) would ultimately prove futile.

He highlighted that for the past 25 years, they have subjected him to daily ridicule with this “Kabra Khudegi” motto, yet he has remained steadfast, propelled by significant actions like the abrogation of Article 370, combating terrorism in the Northeast, conducting surgical strikes against Pakistani terror bases, addressing Naxalism, and eliminating outdated river-sharing agreements with Pakistan.

PM Modi's reference to the grave-digging phrase mirrored previous opposition rhetoric, flipping it back as a testament to their inability to disrupt his agenda.

He claimed that the opposition fails to grasp his ascent or resilience in power, viewing the Prime Minister’s position as a traditional family inheritance. He refuted their authority to preach about the Constitution, accusing them of disrespecting an Adivasi woman in the highest constitutional role, referencing President Droupadi Murmu.

Additionally, he criticized the Congress party for their perceived affronts towards the Northeast, mentioning the discontent over awarding the Bharat Ratna (the highest civilian honor) to Bhupen Hazarika as an insult to Assam, alongside harboring animosity towards Sikhs.

PM Modi charged the opposition with hypocrisy, highlighting their slogan of "mohabbat ki dukaan" (shops of love) while allegedly conspiring against him. He contrasted this with the narrative of C Sadanandan Master, a BJP MP from Kerala who lost both legs in a vicious political assault 31 years ago in 1994.

The attack, reportedly executed by CPI(M) workers while Master was a school teacher opposing their ideology in Kannur, left him permanently disabled.

During the ongoing Budget Session debate on February 2, Master dramatically recounted the incident, showcasing his prosthetics in the House to highlight the harsh realities of political violence faced by those challenging certain ideologies.

By emphasizing Master's perseverance and sacrifice, PM Modi drew a compelling parallel to his own resilience against what he termed relentless personal attacks from the opposition.

He suggested that their frustration arose from his government’s audacious actions that resolved long-standing issues in Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and internal security—achievements they could neither replicate nor accept.

The Prime Minister underscored that such animosity stemmed from the opposition perceiving the Prime Minister's position as their family's legacy and their inability to comprehend the rise and sustenance of power through public support.

This intense opening set the stage for PM Modi's broader address, where he continued to advocate for national security decisions, demographic advantages, and policy reforms, while critiquing the Congress party's historical approach.
