Bhopal, Nov 24 (NationPress) The PM Shri Heli Tourism, an innovative helicopter service, has initiated its operations in the Maihar district as of Monday, generating excitement among locals and merchants who perceive a chance for economic growth through this venture.

The inaugural flight took off from the newly established helipad at the Ved Vidyalaya campus located on Deviji Marg. The helicopter journey commenced from Jabalpur and landed at the Maa Sharda Shakti Peeth, eliciting enthusiasm from devotees and residents alike upon its arrival.

The event marked the first helicopter trip to Chitrakoot, the sacred land of Lord Shri Ram, and was graced by numerous dignitaries, including state minister Pratima Bagri, MP Ganesh Singh, and MLA Shrikant Chaturvedi, along with a considerable gathering of party officials and supporters.

Shrikant Chaturvedi elaborated on the significance of the helicopter service, highlighting its role in enabling devotees to reach spiritual sites such as Maihar and Chitrakoot rapidly and safely.

Minendra Singh Rana, Regional Manager of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department, mentioned that this service aims to enhance tourism. Three initial circuits have been launched: Indore, Omkareshwar, and Ujjain; Bhopal, Madai, and Panchmarhi; and Jabalpur, Amarkantak, Kanha, Manavgarh, Maihar, and Chitrakoot.

The service will run five days a week, with operations paused on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Fixed fare rates are set for this service.

Traveling directly from Jabalpur to Maihar will cost Rs 5,000, while the fare from Maihar to Chitrakoot will be Rs 2,500. Tickets can be conveniently booked online via Flyola's website.

Additionally, tickets will soon be available as part of tour packages, which will include temple visits, prasad distribution, and transportation to the helipad.

A notable aspect of the helicopter service is its resilience to weather variations. Regardless of fog or mist, the helicopter will maintain safe operations. This will not only expedite travel for pilgrims but also invigorate tourism in the Maihar and Chitrakoot areas.

A visitor named Ritesh Shah expressed pride in having the chance to fly by helicopter at such an affordable price.

“This initiative will simplify journeys for pilgrims and introduce a new dimension to tourism in Madhya Pradesh and across the nation. The launch of this service will significantly contribute to regional development and tourism enhancement,” he added.
