Bhopal, Nov 20 (NationPress) The PM Shri Heli tourism service, a groundbreaking initiative in Madhya Pradesh, is poised to transform the state into a premier tourist hub by introducing helicopter services aimed at enhancing religious and scenic tourism.
With the initiation of this service, both devotees and tourists can effortlessly access key religious, natural, and wildlife sites in mere minutes. A remarkable aspect of this service is that the darshan of Ujjain and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas can now be accomplished in a swift 20-40 minute helicopter ride, while the journey from Bhopal to Pachmarhi can be completed in just one hour.
The inaugural chopper flight welcomed five tourists from Bhopal who arrived at Madhai.
MP Maya Narolia, who attended the event, expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for this innovative initiative, stating that it will significantly benefit both visitors and residents.
“Both Madhai and Pachmarhi offer unique experiences for tourists. The journey that once took three to four hours can now be accomplished in just thirty to thirty-five minutes,” she noted.
Himanshu Jain, CEO of the District Panchayat Narmadapuram, emphasized that this helicopter service will not only assist tourists but will also promote tourism within the region.
“From Bhopal to Madhai, the journey takes only 40 minutes, and then from Madhai to Pachmarhi, it’s just a 15-minute flight. This service will be a game-changer for tourists and enhance the local tourism sector,” he explained.
The official launch garnered excitement among pilgrims and tourists alike. Thanks to this new helicopter service, devotees can now travel directly from Indore to visit the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain and the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga near Mandleshwar. Additionally, several other significant tourist attractions have been integrated into this service, allowing travelers to enjoy both religious and natural wonders within a short span.
The administration plans to expand the helicopter routes to include more religious and historical sites in the future. Officials have indicated that this service will operate five days a week, providing travelers with the flexibility to select their preferred time slots to avoid lengthy queues and travel times.
Upon departure from Indore, devotees will be shuttled to helipads close to the temples, from where they can be easily transported to the sites. This is expected to greatly assist the elderly, disabled, and those unable to undertake long journeys. Booking for this service is entirely online, enabling travelers to choose their date, time, and destination via a digital platform.
