Mumbai, Aug 10 (NationPress) Renowned music composer Pritam has expressed his enthusiasm about a fresh idea from director Anurag Basu, following their recent collaboration on ‘Metro... In Dino’.
In a conversation with IANS, Pritam revealed that he is thrilled about the new concept shared by Anurag. He stated that his excitement for this untitled project mirrors that of his anticipation for ‘Life in a Metro’.
Pritam shared with IANS, “Anurag has presented two or three innovative concepts. Though I can't delve into details, I can say that my enthusiasm for this particular idea is akin to what I felt during ‘Life in a Metro’; it’s a new animal concept. I’m not sure when Anurag plans to develop it, but I’m incredibly excited about this idea. A completely new animal. I hope the project comes together soon.”
Pritam also commended Anurag’s forthcoming film starring Kartik Aaryan, describing it as having a remarkable script. He remarked, “The upcoming romantic film with Kartik and T-Series features an amazing storyline. If the actors execute it well, it’s destined to be a big hit. It’s a fantastic script, although it’s not the new monster. The new animal is a separate project. I can’t wait to start working on it, although it is still in the early stages.”
Pritam and Anurag have enjoyed a collaborative relationship spanning nearly three decades, beginning their journey in television before diverging into films. Their first cinematic collaboration was for ‘Gangster’, producing memorable tracks such as ‘Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai’, ‘Ya Ali’, ‘Lamha Lamha’, and ‘Bheegi Bheegi’, which continue to resonate with audiences.
They later worked together on ‘Life in a Metro’, which marked the first all-rock soundtrack in Bollywood.
