Mumbai, June 24 (NationPress) Director Anurag Basu, who is looking forward to the premiere of his new movie 'Metro...In Dino', has expressed that he feels the film is more the work of Pritam than his own.
Having collaborated for nearly two decades, Metro...In Dino represents another chapter in their ongoing partnership. In a recent conversation with IANS, Anurag revealed that their shared interests—ranging from music to the artists they admire—along with a touch of laziness, forge a strong bond between them.
“Metro...In Dino is more of Pritam's creation than mine. When you watch the film, you'll see how vital the music is. It's like a thread, tying everything together,” he stated.
When asked about their ability to consistently produce hit tracks, the director remarked, “It just happens. We share similar tastes in everything—from food to music. I recall certain songs that only Pritam remembers. Our musical preferences and the artists we follow are closely aligned. There’s no defined process for creating a song or a narrative; they evolve together. My story influences the music, and vice versa. We often leave things for tomorrow, which seems to be a mutual trait,” he added.
'Metro...In Dino' features a talented cast, including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Neena Gupta. The film promises to deliver heartwarming narratives deeply embedded in the pulsating essence of vibrant cities.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd., Metro In Dino is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 4, 2025.
