Mumbai, July 26 (NationPress) Renowned Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, currently garnering acclaim for his latest streaming film 'Sarzameen', holds a profound admiration for India's armed forces and their uniform.
During a promotional interview with IANS, he revealed that his lifelong aspiration was to become an army officer, although fate had different plans for him.
He shared, “From a young age, I dreamed of being an army officer, a fact well-known among my friends. I attended Sainik school, where like many cadets, I envisioned a future in the armed forces. However, after my father passed away unexpectedly, my life's direction altered significantly.”
Prithviraj added that at that time, his elder brother had just completed his SSB interview, and their father's sudden death added to the turmoil of their lives.
“Things spiraled out of control, and life led me down a different path. Yet, in a way, each time I wear an army uniform on screen, I am fulfilling that small dream within me. I retain a profound respect for the armed forces, having grown up listening to incredible stories and attending motivational classes about their valor. I have friends serving in the army, navy, and air force,” he expressed.
“I've also lost friends during border operations, making this connection deeply personal for me. Does this alter my perspective as an individual? I'm not entirely sure,” he concluded.
'Sarzameen' is now available for streaming on JioHotstar.
