Punjab's Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, shared this information on his X handle on Sunday, revealing the identities of the detained suspects.
The apprehended suspects have been named as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopy Foji and Sahil Masih alias Shali.
Initial inquiries indicate that Gurpreet Singh maintained direct contact with ISI operatives and is believed to have transmitted sensitive and classified information through pen drives.
The key ISI handler recognized in this investigation has been identified as Rana Javed, as noted by the DGP.
“Two mobile phones allegedly utilized for communication with ISI operatives have been confiscated,” the post further elaborated.
The DGP confirmed that investigations “are ongoing to dismantle the extensive espionage-terror network.”
He also emphasized that the probe aims to uncover all collaborators.
DGP Yadav stated in his post that the Punjab Police remain devoted to protecting the nation's sovereignty and integrity, pledging to take all necessary measures against those involved in anti-national activities.
Previously, the Punjab Police had arrested a spy linked to ISI and Pakistan-based Khalistani supporter Gopal Singh Chawla.
The suspect, Gagandeep Singh, was apprehended in Tarn Taran on June 2. Officials reported that he had been leaking sensitive and classified data, including troop deployments and strategic locations, which posed a significant threat to national security.
Investigations have further revealed that the suspect had been disseminating classified information concerning troop movements during Operation Sindoor, endangering national security, according to the DGP.
Police teams recovered two mobile devices from the suspect, containing sensitive intelligence shared with Pakistani intelligence operatives, along with details of over 20 ISI contacts. The suspect also received payments from operatives via Indian channels.
On June 21, a significant breakthrough occurred when Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantled a Pakistan-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module managed by UK-based handler Dharam Singh alias Dharma Sandhu. This operation led to the arrest of a local operative and the recovery of six sophisticated foreign-made pistols, according to DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The arrested individual was identified as Onkar Singh, alias Nawab, hailing from Jalalusma village in Amritsar. The weapons, smuggled via drones from across the India-Pakistan border, included four 9MM Glock pistols and two .30 bore PX5 pistols.
