Jaipur, Oct 17 (NationPress) Seven suspects detained in relation to the murder of businessman Ramesh Rulania appeared in front of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) court on Friday, amidst strict security measures.
The courtroom was heavily secured during the proceedings to avert any potential incidents.
The suspects, taken into custody on October 10 for allegedly assisting the shooters involved in the murder, were brought into the court shackled, accompanied by Quick Response Team (QRT) commandos and law enforcement officials.
After the hearing, ACJM Judge Kamakshi Meena ordered that two of the suspects - Pawan Charan and Kishanlal Gurjar - be held in police custody for an additional three days.
The other five - Shafiq Khan, Ramkesh Gurjar, Ram Singh Gurjar, Khushiram Jat, and Dinesh Chaudhary - were placed in Parbatsar jail under judicial custody.
Authorities confirmed that the Scorpio vehicle utilized in the murder was confiscated earlier, and questioning during the initial remand period provided substantial leads.
In a significant development, three of the four primary shooters - Ganpat Gurjar, Dharmendra Gurjar, and Mahesh Gurjar - were captured in West Bengal on Thursday, as reported by an official.
The official noted that each of these individuals had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on their heads. Efforts are ongoing to locate the fourth suspect.
“Investigators suspect that additional individuals may be involved in the conspiracy and are actively working to identify and apprehend them,” he stated.
