Jaipur, Nov 21 (NationPress) In a significant administrative overhaul, the Rajasthan government executed a late-night reshuffle on Friday, resulting in the transfer of 48 IAS officers—one of the most extensive bureaucratic realignments of the year.
This shake-up comes on the heels of V. Srinivas being appointed as the new Chief Secretary and is seen as a considerable adjustment within the Chief Minister’s Office, particularly after Sudhansh Pant took on a central deputation.
Among the changes, Shikhar Agarwal, the Chief Minister’s ACS, has been reassigned to the Industries Department, while Akhil Arora, previously the ACS of the Water Supply Department, will now serve as ACS to the Chief Minister. Additionally, Purushottam Sharma, the MD of Roadways, has been given the extra role of Commissioner of the Transport Department.
The reshuffle also emphasizes a notable increase in the responsibilities of Praveen Gupta, the PWD ACS, who has been entrusted with additional portfolios, including ACS of Tourism, Art & Culture, Chairman of RTDC, and CEO of the Amer Development Authority.
