Uttar Pradesh Government Implements Transfers for 46 IAS Officials; Sanjay Prasad Returns as Principal Secretary in Home Department

Lucknow, Jan 3 (NationPress) On the second day of the new year, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government disclosed the transfer of 46 IAS officers, which includes several senior officials across important departments. The reshuffle declared on Thursday signifies a tactical move to bolster governance and refine administrative processes in the state.
A significant aspect of this reshuffle is the reinstatement of Sanjay Prasad, a 1995-batch IAS officer, to the role of Principal Secretary (PS) Home, where he will oversee several vital departments, such as Home, Visa, Passport, and Vigilance.

Deepak Kumar -- relieved of the position of Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Visa, Passport, Vigilance Department and assigned an additional role as Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department.
L. Venkateswarlu has been given extra responsibilities as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Sainik Welfare, Tribal Development, UP CIDCO, Director of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Research and Training Institute, and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Research and Training Institute, in addition to his current position.
Rajesh Kumar Singh -- appointed as Principal Secretary, Home Guard.
B.L. Meena has been relieved of the position of Principal Secretary, Home Guard, and will retain his role as Principal Secretary, Horticulture, Silk, Food Processing, and Home Guard Department.
Alok Kumar -- relieved from the role of Principal Secretary, Handloom and Textile Industry, Khadi and Village Industries, and assigned the additional responsibility of Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department.
Narendra Bhushan has been designated as Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department, while continuing his duties in the Intellectual Education Department.
Veena Kumari Meena has been relieved from the charge of Principal Secretary, AYUSH Department.
Anil Garg -- released from the division of State Nodal Officer, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and continues as Chairman, Pack, State Nodal Officer, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Land Reforms Corporation.
