The Archery Premier League marks India’s first franchise-based archery competition, initiated in 2025 by the Archery Association of India. It features 6 teams: Prithviraaj Yodhas, Mighty Marathas, Kakatiya Knights, Rajputana Royals, Chero Archers, and Chola Chiefs, with each team comprising eight archers (4 men, 4 women), representing both recurve and compound disciplines.
A total of 36 Indian archers and 12 international participants have been selected for the teams. Matches are currently taking place at the Yamuna Sports Complex, utilizing a round-robin format followed by knockout rounds. The Rajputana Royals and Mighty Marathas are set to clash in the season finale.
Previously, Ram Charan attended the Ravan Dahan at Balaji Ramleela Maidan in the national capital. During this event, he spoke in Hindi and reflected on his role as Alluri Sitaramaraju in ‘RRR’. He expressed his gratitude to the people of northern India for their warm welcome.
He remarked in Hindi, “The character I portrayed in the movie (RRR) is also named Ram. What unfolds today is due to Lord Ram. I am immensely thankful for the love I’ve received. Coming from a small industry in the South, we’ve been embraced by the North. That’s solely because of our film, and your hearts are so generous.”
In ‘RRR’, Ram Charan played a police officer during the British colonial period, with his character inspired by freedom fighters Rash Behari Bose and Alluri Sitaramaraju. The film achieved global acclaim, celebrated for its action sequences, visuals, music, and storytelling, and garnered numerous international accolades.
