New Delhi, Oct 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his admiration for Telugu actor Ram Charan's contributions in promoting archery through the launch of the Archery Premier League (APL), which stands as the first professional league of its kind globally, aimed at benefiting numerous young athletes.
During a meeting in New Delhi on Saturday, Ram Charan, alongside his wife Upasana Konidela and father-in-law Anil Kamineni, had the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister.
“It was a pleasure meeting you, Upasana and Anil Kamineni Garu. Your joint efforts to enhance the visibility of archery are truly commendable and will assist many young individuals,” PM Modi shared on X.
Both Ram Charan and Anil Kamineni, who is the Chairman of the APL, have been significantly involved in archery and played a pivotal role in organizing the league's inaugural season, which occurred at the Yamuna Sports Complex in New Delhi.
After the meeting, Ram Charan shared his thoughts on social media.
“I feel privileged to have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the triumph of the world’s very first Archery Premier League, spearheaded by Anil Kamineni Garu. This marks our initial endeavor to uphold the heritage of archery and promote it globally. Kudos to all the athletes; we anticipate many more joining this remarkable sport,” he stated in his social media update on Saturday.
In his remarks post-meeting, Ram Charan expressed pride in being part of a movement that celebrates and promotes India’s rich cultural heritage. “It was a genuine honor to meet our Prime Minister and discuss the vision of APL.
