Mumbai, Oct 3 (NationPress) Actor Randeep Hooda, who co-owns the Prithviraj Yodhas alongside his wife Lin Laishram in the Archery Premier League, has emphasized the significance of the sport.

The actor remarked that archery fosters essential virtues such as focus, patience, and resilience. Lin Laishram, a former national-level archer, plays a vital role in this endeavor. Their team represents Delhi in the inaugural Archery Premier League (APL), which is set to unfold from October 2 to October 12, 2025, at the Yamuna Sports Complex.

Regarding the sport, Randeep expressed to IANS, “We take immense pride in the fact that Delhi is home to the Prithviraj Yodhas. Our connection to this team fills us with joy. Personally, sports resonate with my roots in Haryana, where athletics have been a fundamental part of our upbringing.”

He further added, “From wrestling to hockey and boxing, I grew up immersed in tales of athletes who have brought glory to the nation. This spirit of discipline and dedication remains with me. Lin’s deep-rooted connection to archery complements our strong partnership. Archery embodies the values of focus, patience, and resilience, which are deeply ingrained in Haryana’s sporting culture. Being part of a league where Lin returns to a sport she cherishes is a meaningful continuation of our sporting legacy.”

For Lin, this venture signifies more than just a new chapter; it represents a return to the sport that defined her youth. Motivated by her father, who was the President of the Archery Association (Manipur), she began her archery journey at age 10, competing in her first Sub-Junior Nationals. She refined her skills at the Tata Archery Academy, earning several medals and winning the Junior National Championship in 1998. Although an injury sidelined her competitive aspirations, her love for the sport has endured.

The Archery Premier League 2025 is organized by the Archery Association of India (AAI), under the guidance of Former Member of Parliament, AAI President Shri Arjun Munda, and AAI Secretary Shri Virendra Sachdeva, garnering support from World Archery, World Archery Asia, and the Sports Ministry of India.
