Is There a Conspiracy Behind the Downgrade of Tejashwi Yadav’s Security?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Jan 22 (NationPress) The spokesperson for the Bihar State Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Ejaz Ahmed, expressed strong disapproval regarding the alleged decrease in security measures for the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. He described this action as a calculated effort by the NDA government to stifle the voices of the opposition.
According to Ejaz Ahmed, the behavior displayed by the NDA government indicates an anti-democratic attitude. He asserted that this decision is part of a broader conspiracy aimed at undermining the opposition's influence before any protests or agitation commence.
“The reduction of Tejashwi Yadav’s security ahead of the opposition's struggle clearly highlights the government’s anxiety and discomfort,” Ahmed remarked.
The spokesperson claimed that Tejashwi Yadav has been diligently holding the government accountable on significant public issues, leading to unease among leaders of the ruling party.
“The government feels threatened because Tejashwi Yadav raises critical questions concerning employment, development, women's safety, crime, and murders in Bihar. He has always been a leader for the people and will persist in advocating for public interests,” he further stated.
Additionally, Ejaz Ahmed connected the alleged downgrade of security to the ongoing political tension surrounding the death of a NEET aspirant in Patna, suggesting that the government is attempting to divert public attention.
He criticized the decision as politically motivated, questioning the rationale behind several NDA leaders receiving enhanced security while the Leader of the Opposition’s protection is diminished.
“Why do BJP and JDU leaders receive Z-plus security, while the Leader of the Opposition is relegated to Y+? This is absolutely unjustifiable,” Ejaz Ahmed stated.
According to the updated security roster, robust security measures have been established for numerous leaders within the ruling party.
Notable BJP leaders and ministers have been allocated Z category security, including Nitin Nabin, Mangal Pandey, BJP state president and MLA Sanjay Saraogi, and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh.
The Z category entails a substantial deployment of commandos and police personnel for protection.
Meanwhile, former Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has been assigned Y+ category security, similar to Union Minister Giriraj Singh.
Officials stated that these adjustments were made following a security audit and current threat evaluations.
