Key Takeaways
Jaipur, March 16 (NationPress) Rameshchandra Agrawal, the Kshetra Sanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), announced that the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) convened from March 13 to 15 in Samalkha, Haryana.
During the meeting, various significant topics were explored, including the growth of organizational efforts, the engagement of constructive social groups for national benefit, and the advancement of social harmony.
Speaking to reporters at Seva Sadan on Monday, he shared that a message from RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale was delivered in honor of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji. The message emphasized the importance of understanding Sant Ravidas Ji’s teachings in the face of divisive forces attempting to fracture society along class and caste lines, highlighting the need to bolster social unity.
In Rajasthan, the RSS is experiencing a steady expansion of its activities, currently operating at approximately 7,910 locations throughout the state. This includes 12,109 shakhas and 5,950 weekly meetings.
To enhance outreach, Hindu conferences have been organized at numerous sites across the state, with 7,175 conferences conducted thus far, engaging participants from 27,918 villages. A total of 3,503,278 men and 4,126,687 women have participated, resulting in 7,630,965 attendees overall, aimed at reaching diverse societal segments, fostering dialogue, and strengthening social engagement.
Agrawal noted that the organization has seen significant growth in the past year. The number of shakhas has surged by about six thousand, bringing the total to over 88,000, while the locations have surpassed 55,000. Additionally, there has been an increase in weekly gatherings (Saptahik Milan) and Mandalis.
He remarked that RSS activities have now extended to remote areas, including the Andaman Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Leh, and other distant tribal regions, where regular shakhas are being held. Alongside organizational growth, the RSS is committed to improving the quality of social life.
The Panch Parivartan initiative is encouraging society towards positive change. Agrawal articulated that Indian identity, or Hindutva, transcends mere ideology; it represents a lifestyle that should foster the dissemination of noble values within the community.
He stressed the necessity of uniting constructive social forces and incentivizing their active contributions to the national interest.
Agrawal emphasized the importance of acknowledging the contributions of distinguished figures beyond caste and sect divisions. In this spirit, RSS volunteers organized over 2,000 events nationwide on the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, with participation from over 700,000 people.
The organization also celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram with great enthusiasm. Plans for various programs are underway for the upcoming 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji.
As part of the RSS's regular training initiatives, a total of 96 training camps will be conducted next year, including 11 in different regions and one in Nagpur.
Agrawal noted that the enthusiasm for RSS activities is evident even in remote corners of the country. In the Andaman Islands, over 13,000 individuals from nine major islands attended a Hindu conference, which was graced by the presence of the RSS Sarsanghchalak. Similarly, more than 37,000 individuals participated in 21 Swadharma Sammelans held in Arunachal Pradesh.
