New Delhi, March 21 (NationPress) The ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh and the unrest in Manipur are significant issues addressed in an RSS report, particularly in the section titled ‘Present National Scene’, which emphasizes the human suffering arising from such violence.
“The cruel assault on the Hindu community and other minority groups by religious extremists during the political upheaval in our neighboring country, Bangladesh, is profoundly condemnable,” the report states.
The RSS, which serves as the ideological backbone of the ruling BJP, commends the fortitude of Hindus in Bangladesh for standing strong against these aggressors, drawing strength from their self-confidence.
“The circumstances remain dire. The safety of the lives and properties of Hindus is at risk,” the report asserts, noting that the events occurring there are disgraceful by any measure of humanity and democracy in a civilized society.
The Annual Report for 2024-25 of the RSS, unveiled at the ongoing Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sahaba in Bengaluru, further observes that through the combined efforts of Sangh Swayamsevaks and various organizations, initiatives were conducted nationwide to denounce the extremist forces responsible for the turmoil in Bangladesh.
“The Indian government has also urged the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety of Hindus and has sought to shape global opinion in this regard,” the RSS report noted, appreciating the initiatives taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.
Regarding the violence in Manipur, the Sangh urged that all communities within the state should set aside their grief and mistrust, making a concerted effort towards social unity through mutual brotherhood.
The report highlights that Manipur, located on the eastern border of the country, has been enduring a troubled situation for the past 20 months, noting how Sangh-inspired social organizations have provided assistance and support to those affected, while maintaining constant communication with various communities to promote patience.
The RSS also acknowledged the actions taken by the Modi government in addressing the situation in Manipur.
“Several decisive measures implemented by the Central Government at both political and administrative levels in recent times have fostered optimism regarding the improvement of the situation. However, it will require considerable time for an environment of goodwill and trust to develop,” the report states.
In a recent podcast conversation with AI researcher and podcaster Lex Fridman, PM Modi mentioned that the RSS has significantly influenced his life.
“Through the RSS, I discovered a life filled with purpose. I was fortunate to spend time among saints, which provided me with a strong spiritual foundation. I learned discipline and found meaning in life,” he remarked.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the social initiatives that the RSS has dedicated itself to over the past century, impacting the lives of tribal communities, women, workers, and youth.
