Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 19 (NationPress) Renowned television star Rupali Ganguly expressed strong disapproval of the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, asserting that this is not the Bengal she once knew.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, the 'Anupamaa' actress revealed her wish for a BJP government to take over in Bengal, citing the oppression of Hindus under TMC's governance.
Rupali stated, "Every day, I pray to Goddess Durga for the BJP's flag to wave in Bengal. I have witnessed my family suffering under TMC's rule; they lacked the courage to vote. This is not the Bengal of my upbringing."
She further criticized the Mamata government for its inaction regarding the appalling R.G. Kar Medical College incident, suggesting that they should have dismissed the Dean instead of merely transferring him.
"It is crucial for a BJP government to emerge, and I feel no shame in expressing my disappointment that someone like Mamata Banerjee has led such a magnificent state as Bengal. The handling of the R.G. Kar case is a prime example. They should have at least dismissed the Dean to demonstrate accountability, yet they chose to transfer him. This shameful behavior has led to widespread oppression and suffering. It is time for true Bengalis to unite," she emphasized.
"Regarding the infiltrators, especially the Ghuspetis, if we aim to reclaim Bengal from the thugs, this election, please vote without hesitation. Our Home Minister, Amit Shah, has pledged his presence there. So, what is stopping you? Vote for the future of yourselves and your children," Rupali concluded.
