Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary Visits Atul Subhash's Family After Tragic Suicide

Patna, Dec 23 (NationPress) The Member of Parliament representing the Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, Shambhavi Choudhary, paid a visit to the family of AI engineer Atul Subhash at their home in the Pusa locality on Monday, offering her condolences for the heartbreaking loss of their son, who committed suicide in Bengaluru.
During her visit, she assured the family of her unwavering support and committed to bringing their concerns to the floor of Parliament, advocating for necessary changes in custody laws and protections against the misuse of harassment laws.
While speaking to the press, Shambhavi Choudhary expressed her deep sorrow over the incident and reiterated her commitment to assist the family’s demands.
"I have ensured all possible help in this matter to facilitate the family’s rightful claim to custody of Atul Subhash's son,” stated Shambhavi Choudhary, the LJP-RV MP from Samastipur.
Earlier this month, Atul Subhash, an AI engineer employed at a private firm in Bangalore, tragically took his own life.
Before his death, he shared a lengthy video and left a 24-page note explaining the circumstances that led to his decision.
Following his passing, Atul Subhash's father, Pawan Modi, has been a vocal advocate for the custody of his grandson.
He argues that with the child's mother, Nikita, currently incarcerated, the natural guardianship should rightfully rest with the grandparents. He has urged the court to prioritize the child's welfare and consider the grandparents' request for custody.
Pawan Modi highlighted the necessity for legal reforms aimed at mitigating male harassment cases.
He has requested MP Shambhavi Choudhary to bring this matter to the Lok Sabha to push for broader legal and societal reforms.
Additionally, he advocated for changes to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
He implored the MP to assist in reuniting with his grandson, for whom the family has been battling for custody.
The MP also sought information regarding the actions taken by the Bengaluru police and the specifics of the FIR filed locally.
