Sambhal, Dec 30 (NationPress) The measurement of the eight-bigha graveyard situated close to the Jama Masjid in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal is scheduled to commence shortly on Tuesday.
Preparations for the measurement of the cemetery, located adjacent to the Jama Masjid and opposite the Harihar Temple, have been finalized, although the actual measurement process remained pending at the time of this report.
The assigned land surveyor has yet to arrive at the location. As per administrative sources, the surveyor is anticipated to arrive soon, along with other relevant officials. The measurement of the cemetery will officially kick off only after the arrival of all concerned authorities.
This initiative is being undertaken in response to complaints regarding the illegal construction of approximately 20 to 25 shops and houses on the cemetery land. The objective of the measurement is to address these grievances and determine the actual status of the land.
Due to the sensitive nature of this matter, the police administration has heightened alertness to avert any potential incidents or unrest. A substantial number of police personnel have been deployed within and around the cemetery premises. For security purposes, entry into the cemetery has been restricted, and no one is currently allowed within the area.
To uphold law and order, RPF and PAC personnel have been stationed at every major street and intersection in the city. Consequently, the area has effectively been transformed into a cantonment. Over 500 police personnel are on the ground, including forces from eight police stations. Additionally, three companies of the PAC and one company of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) are closely monitoring the entire vicinity.
The administration is keeping the entire locality under vigilant watch, and the movement of individuals is being meticulously monitored. Officials have assured that the entire measurement process will be executed in a peaceful, fair, and transparent manner.
A firm warning has been issued that stringent action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order or spread false information. The administration has reiterated its stance of zero tolerance towards any individual or group seeking to create unrest during this process.
