Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) Sharmila Tagore, the celebrated actress and mother of Saif Ali Khan, made a recent visit to her son at Lilavati Hospital. The 'Race' star suffered multiple stab wounds during a robbery attempt. He incurred significant injuries on the back of his neck, near his right shoulder, the left side of his back, and around the wrist and elbow of his left arm.
Before Sharmila's visit, several others, including Sanjay Dutt, Malaika Arora, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan, had also paid their respects at the hospital.
Recently, CCTV footage surfaced on social media, showing the perpetrator fleeing from the sixth-floor staircase after the attack.
An FIR has been filed at the Bandra Police Station. According to the caretaker of Saif’s residence, the assailant demanded a sum of 1 crore during the robbery and attacked Saif with a wooden object and a hexa blade.
Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital to treat his injuries, and reports indicate that he is now stable. Dr. Nitin Dange, who was involved in the surgery, stated, "Saif was admitted at 2:00 AM. He suffered a major injury to his spinal cord in the thoracic region due to a lodged knife. The surgery involved removing the knife and repairing a leak in the spinal fluid. Additional deep wounds on his left hand and neck were also addressed by the plastic surgery team. He is currently stable and recovering well."
It was reported that Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital by a member of his household staff. A source mentioned, "Neither Ibrahim nor Taimur were present. The house help transported the actor to the hospital via an auto-rickshaw."
