Mumbai, Sep 20 (NationPress) Renowned singer Shreya Ghoshal has shared her sorrow following the untimely demise of the iconic Assamese vocalist Zubeen Garg, who passed away at the age of 52.
In a heartfelt note on her Instagram, Shreya conveyed, "Truly heartbroken by the news of Zubeen Garg! An artistic legend of our nation, a superstar, and a wonderful person. I have always admired his craft, his voice(sic)."
Reflecting on their collaborations, she remarked, "I had the incredible privilege of working alongside him on several iconic Assamese tracks. (Broken heart emoji) Rest in peace, Zubeen dada (folded hands emoji)."
In a similar vein, singer Armaan Malik also chose to honor the late Assamese artist through his rendition of one of Garg's most cherished songs, "Mayabini Ratir Bukut."
Sharing a video of his performance, Armaan wrote, "Every trip to the beautiful state of Assam, I made it a point to sing this song and dedicate it to the incomparable Zubeen Garg. Today, singing it feels more poignant than ever. It breaks my heart that I never got the opportunity to know him well, a regret that will linger.
