Los Angeles, Jan 5 (NationPress) Hollywood actor Simu Liu appears to be advocating for significant transformations within the DC Universe, having suggested that Melissa Barrera should step into the role of the next Wonder Woman.
In June 2025, James Gunn, head of DC Studios, confirmed that a new Wonder Woman film is currently in the works, as reported by Variety.
This film will complement an upcoming HBO series focused on Themyscira, the legendary homeland of Wonder Woman. Gunn noted that this project is progressing, albeit slowly.
