Khargone, April 11 (NationPress) The principal of a government-run school was assaulted by a group of students in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone, according to police reports released on Friday.
The incident transpired during school hours while Ashok Singh Pawar, the school principal, was in his office alone.
Three individuals, who had completed their class 12 education at this school the previous academic year, forcibly entered the principal's office.
Initially, they engaged in a dispute regarding a past case concerning the alleged molestation of female students.
Suddenly, one of the individuals grabbed a glass from a table and hurled it at the principal, subsequently assaulting him before fleeing the scene.
When other staff members and teachers arrived, they discovered the principal lying on the floor, bleeding from his head.
He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.
Local police were notified as well.
Authorities stated that the assailants entered the principal's office and pressured him to retract his complaint about the molestation case involving two students who were charged a year prior.
"A case has been filed based on a complaint from school principal Ashok Singh Pawar. The suspects have been charged under applicable laws and will be apprehended shortly," declared Khargone Superintendent of Police Dharamraj Meena.
In response to the incident, teachers and school staff organized a protest, demanding stringent measures against those responsible for the attack on the principal.
They also met with SP Meena to submit a memorandum regarding the matter.
The 'CM Rise' school initiative was launched during the previous tenure of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to offer students advanced educational facilities.
Now, all 'CM Rise' schools will be rebranded as "Sandipani Vidyalayas", as announced by Mohan Yadav, the current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, on March 25.
