In a recent conversation with IANS, Darshan noted that while the film received negative critiques from entertainment journalists in Mumbai, it thrived in the rest of India, especially in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
He expressed, “I created this film, and Mumbai didn’t embrace it. Yet, not only in India but globally, the film was well-received. It enjoyed a theatrical run of 15-25 weeks in rural areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Journalists in Mumbai, who often comment on our fate from their seats in the city, should understand that the one who determines destiny is above all.”
