Mumbai, July 28 (NationPress) Director-producer Suneel Darshan, who is preparing for his upcoming film ‘Andaaz 2’, explained his decision not to include veteran singers Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, and Alka Yagnik in this sequel.
During the film's trailer launch at a luxurious hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, he introduced two new actors and shared insights about the project with the press.
Known for his long-standing collaborations with these iconic playback singers, as well as with Nadeem–Shravan and Sameer, Suneel has now opted for fresh voices for this film.
He elaborated, stating, “Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, and Alka Yagnik, along with Nadeem–Shravan and Sameer, have been part of my successful team for nearly 20-30 years. Nevertheless, this time, I had to make the difficult choice to not collaborate with these artists.”
“I have immense respect for all of them; they are exceptional artists. However, I needed new voices for this movie as it centers around young talent,” he added.
Suneel previously described ‘Andaaz 2’ as a captivating mixture of romance, drama, and emotional richness.
He mentioned, “I had written the script for 'Andaaz 2' and finalized the entire album of songs, with only the last casting stage pending. My casting director presented male artists for roles of the protagonist’s friends, and among them was a person I believed could be the perfect choice not just for the friend, but as the lead character. His persona and appearance were ideal for Aarav, so I followed my intuition and signed him on… and that’s how Aarav Kumar was born.”
As preparation commenced, Aayush began working on his physique and refining his dance skills while engaging with the script. In 'Andaaz 2', Aayush plays Aarav, a passionate musician tackling love, ambition, and personal challenges. The film is set to deliver a rich blend of romance, drama, and emotional depth, which has been a staple of Suneel Darshan’s works,” he concluded.
